Basil Mint Lemonade

  • Handful of fresh basil
  • Handful of fresh mint
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 cups lemon juice
  • water
  1. Rinse and chop basil and mint and set aside.
  2. Combine 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water in a medium-sized sauce pan and heat on medium to make a simple syrup. Gently stir continuously. You can remove from heat when the sugar has dissolved.
  3. In a very large pitcher, combine lemon juice and simple syrup. Fill up with cold water and add mint and basil. Taste and adjust sweetness to your liking. Let it chill in the refrigerator or add ice and serve.
